What makes me an effective editor?

I have a master’s degree from York University

I have an editing certificate from Simon Fraser University

I studied editing, with a focus on the Chicago Manual of Style, at the University of Chicago

I have experience researching, performing, and teaching music
I have extensive teaching experience and knowledge of the education sector
I was the editor-in-chief of Editors Toronto’s blog BoldFace from 2022 to 2024
I founded an NGO that supported literacy development in West Africa

I enjoy baseball and coffee shops but rarely mix the two: I never watch baseball while in a cafe and rarely drink coffee at a game. Though I support the Jays, Pittsburgh does have a beautiful stadium.
